More financial services jobs 'becoming available'
By Nikki Barrister
Some companies in the financial services industry believe now is the time to start recruiting new staff, it has been revealed.
Research carried out by pre-employment screening firm Powerchex indicated employment offers increased by 23 per cent within the insurance sector and by 19 per cent in the investment banking industries in May compared to April this year.
IT contractors servicing the finance industry saw a 100 per cent increase in the number of employment offers over the month.
Alexandra Kelly, director at the group, commented: "There are those companies who believe now is the time to position themselves to take advantage of any upturn by hand picking new staff from a large and talented pool of people."
Last month, studies by the Chartered Insurance Institute indicated those working in sales jobs in the financial services sector should invest in training in the difficult economic climate in order to get the maximum benefit when the upturn arrives.
As a recruitment provider to many of the UKs major banks, mortgage lenders and building societies Aaron Wallis have a deserved reputation within Financial Services recruitment. Their dedicated FS consultants recruit sales professionals across Retail Banking and Financial Services including IFAs and Mortgage Broking.
